If you were enrolled in Baby TALK as a prenatal client, this will look familiar to you.

 The postnatal period brings a wide range of emotions, and it’s okay to not feel okay. All feelings are valid, and you don’t have to navigate them alone.

Home visitors are here to walk alongside you, offer support without judgment, and help connect you with resources that meet your needs. 💗

Today is National Depression Screening Day, and PSI recommends universal screening for the presence of perinatal mental health disorders using an evidence-based tool such as the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Screen (EPDS) or Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9).

Perinatal mental health disorders are the most common complication of childbearing, but they are underreported, under-diagnosed, and under-treated, or not treated at all.

The most impactful moments are not always the ones that get captured by the camera!

Just outside the frame are caregivers playing, observing, asking questions, and discovering new things about their little ones. Through simple moments of play and connection, caregivers and home visitors work together to support each child’s growth and development—one stage, one milestone, and one joyful moment at a time.

One of my favorite moments with my families is when we discover a new skill or strength together!
