Huge thanks to the Trombone Shorty Foundation & Trombone Shorty Music Academy Alumni Band for taking time to visit with students at Glenwood Middle School & play with the JAS Street Horns while they were here in December! Such a great experience for these students.

Calling all Middle & High School Students: it's time to get creative! The JAS "Share Your Voice" songwriting competition is now open. Work with others to create something special. Winners will receive cash prizes & a chance to perform at the new Paul JAS Center!

We hope to see you tomorrow night at the JAS Student Showcase at TACAW honoring Mark Johnson. Please join JAS & AMFS in celebrating his love of music in our Valley by donating to the Mark Johnson Memorial Fund. Info in the article.

Students play tribute to jazz and Johnson Young musicians from schools from Aspen to Coal Ridge will perform in honor of International Jazz Day at The Arts Campus at Willits from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday as part of the JAS International Jazz Day Student Showcase.

Make plans to join us at TACAW on International Jazz Day for a free, fun celebration of jazz music featuring bands from throughout the Roaring Fork Valley & beyond!

The 2025 Share Your Voice Competition Winners were announced this week 🎉 Once again the amount of talent was astounding - Thank you to all the students who shared their music this year!
Congratulations, from Carbondale, CO, on winning the High School Grand Prize with his song Where The Wild Winds Blows and from Grand Junction, CO, on winning the Middle School Grand Prize with her song Little Did They Know!
Honorable Mentions were awarded to high schooler Sadie Drake from Toronto, Ontario, for her song To Me and middle schooler Kinsall Passchier from Carbondale, CO, for her song Never Know. 🎶
