On Monday April 25, 2022 legendary heli-ski guide Michael Hamilton lost his life in an avalanche while working for Valdez Heli-Ski Guides in Valdez, Alaska. His loss is far-reaching and deeply felt throughout our extended family of big mountain rippers around the world. With heavy hearts we offer our deepest condolences to Sunny Hamilton and the Hamilton family.

Concerning failure of appropriate flight tracking and lack of immediate rescue action on the part of a Heli Ski operator in Alaska. It’s not all fun and deep powder. There is risk, there is death. Know your operator before you go.
