Penny Wars is a strategic game where each grade is allotted water jugs to fill with money. Any coins added to a grade’s jug are positive (add value for the competition), and any bills added are negative (take away value for the competition) for that grade’s total. Each grade level is trying to fill their jug with coins and add bills to other grade levels’ jugs to win the competition. The winning grade will win a fun prize– pizza and ice cream party. So please empty out your coin bins here at school to keep the AYC open and free for all kids.

2-Hour Delayed Start Friday, March 6, 2026 , the Aspen School District will have a two-hour morning delay due to forecasted weather and the road conditions. All schools, except the Cottage, will start at 10 a.m., the Cottage will start at 9:30 a.m.. Bus stop times will be pushed back by two hours from the normally scheduled time. If your student would be picked up at 7:20 a.m., they would now be picked up at 9:20 a.m.. There will be NO breakfast, but lunch is served. Further communication will be sent out by 7:30 a.m. should the decision be made to cancel school. Be safe out there!

Thanks to the PTO, Enjoy FREE Bingo, Pizza & Salad! (suggested donation of $10-$20 per family. All proceeds will benefit recess equipment and free lunch for ski days!)
