Fifth Grade’s Country Study Open House transformed the school into a global showcase this week. After months of research, geography studies, current events work, writing, and creative projects, students shared deep dives into their chosen countries through reports, maps, UNESCO sites, news presentations, music, business plans, and more. Drawing on skills and knowledge built throughout the year, including through Mountain Monday, What State Wednesday, and Flag Friday, this culminating project brought together critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and lots of Fifth Grade enthusiasm. 

Congratulations to Kindergarten and First Grade for today’s lovely Spring Things music program! 🪁

At ACDS, the Blue Green Games are more than competition. They’re about showing up for each other, cheering loudly, trying hard, laughing harder, and building the kind of community students remember long after the final point is tallied. 💙💚

Fourth Graders took their Lower School Shakespeare Festival rehearsals to the canoes today, bringing a little Verona to the pond ahead of next week’s ROMEO AND JULIET performances. Equal parts chaos, comedy and commitment to character.
