Classmates - sad news our classmate Billie Thompson Theis has passed. Following is her obit: Billie Theis (Thompson), 70, peacefully passed away on November 14th, in Bay Village, Ohio. She is survived by her two children, Stacy Rocco (John) and Chuck Theis (Yvette), and her four grandchildren (Anthony and Julia Rocco, Keira and Serena Theis). She was married to Dale Theis for 47 years before his passing in 2021. A graduate of Ashtabula, she took pride in reminding Dale of how much "Bula" was superior to Harbor. Billie worked as a nurse at ACMC and cherished her profession so much that she never let her license expire.
Billie's home was a place filled with family, friends, her children's friends, and pets. Always ready to order a pizza, bake cookies, and make everyone feel loved and welcomed, Billie's residence became the go-to spot on Cleveland Browns Sundays. Regardless of the outcome, the day was brimming with food, friends, and family. Her infectious smile could light up any room and she was called by many an "angel on earth."
Despite facing numerous medical challenges, Billie never complained or questioned why. She navigated through it all with unparalleled strength and positivity. Over the past 18 years, her grandchildren held a special place in her heart, and she relished every story, laugh, hug, and every moment in between. Billie was also a devoted daughter who eagerly looked forward to calling her mother, Shirley Hassett, every day. She will be dearly missed.
