In Mrs. Lee’s 6th grade Science class this week, we are conducting an experiment to learn about measurement and units. We have measured temperature for both hot and cold water in Celsius. We measured the length of different classroom items in centimeters. We weight several items using pan balance in grams. We measured liquids in graduated cylinders in mL. And we measured: length, width, and height of a wooden cube in cm.

We enjoyed having a hands-on experiment.

In CCP Class, we have been spending the week exploring careers. We began by taking two different career interest inventories. Those led us to find career clusters that we have interest. We then explored our individual clusters to find 10-15 jobs that we would consider. Next week, we will identify one specific career and do a project about it.

In sports information, Girl’s Open gym started two weeks ago. Tryout will be coming very soon. Open mats for girls and boys wrestling started this week. Football has played their last game of the season. 7th grade Volleyball has a tournament game tonight, October 8th. The 8th grade Volleyball has a tournament game Monday, October 13th. Cross Country has a few more meets. The Soccer team has a tournament match on Monday, October 13th.

Due to picture day, if your student has signed up for the Mobile Dentist, they will now be at Braden tomorrow, October 6th instead of Wednesday, October 7th.

What a fun week at Braden Middle School! ❤️🐾

Our students and staff showed their Bulldog spirit all week long with PJ Day, White Lie Day, Wacky Day, and Sports Day!

During the week we had a House Game, where students and staff competed in some friendly competition to earn points for their houses. Points were also awarded for the most house spirit and the most students and staff dressed in their house color!

We loved seeing everyone participate, have fun, and show their Braden spirit throughout the week. ❤️🩶

The next House Challenge is a Halloween Comic Strip Contest. There are a few rules: no blood, no violence, and no gore. Entries are to be on a plain white 8.5 inch by 11 inch paper. Only hand drawn entries may be submitted. Please see the attached image for details.
