Each month, we spotlight people we support working in our community and the employers who foster inclusive workplaces. This month, we’re excited to highlight John & the Harbor-Topky Memorial Library!

Meet John, who has been a dedicated Janitor at the Harbor-Topky Memorial Library for the past five years. John takes great pride in his work and enjoys helping keep the library clean, welcoming, and well maintained for everyone who visits. From sweeping the floors to making sure the windows shine, John’s hard work helps create a comfortable space for the community to enjoy. He especially loves the beautiful view of Lake Erie right outside the library.

One of John’s coworkers shared, “John is a very personable guy, keeps the building looking great, and is wonderful with all the kids who come to the library. He’ll even let them help him sweep if they want to give it a try.”

Outside of work, John enjoys relaxing and watching some of his favorite TV shows, including The Neighborhood and 9-1-1. Thank you Harbor-Topky Memorial Library for fostering an inclusive and welcoming workplace for everyone!
