Country Meadow Elementary School started the journey to become a Leader in Me school in 2012, in partnership with FranklinCovey Education. Teachers and staff have also implemented print-rich classrooms, using multi-sensory instructional approaches that provide order, security, high expectations, as well as opportunities for students to explore, discover, research, and investigate. The research-based curriculum and instructional practices reflect an interdisciplinary leadership and arts-infused approach, interwoven into literacy, the sciences, humanities, and mathematics. The integration of leadership and the arts develops students into leaders and enables students to think independently, and gain skills in decision-making, problem-solving, collaboration, creativity, and self-management. The Leader in Me model produces high academic achievement, fewer discipline problems, increased engagement among teachers and parents, and helps to increase community
involvement with schools. Social Media Rules of Engagement
