Miriam Smith is a Board Certified Music Therapy who has been practicing in the Richmond area for over 5 years. She is passionate about providing quality music therapy services to all of her clients. She practices using a client centered approach and strives to engage and educate all those she meets about music therapy. She currently serves as the President of the Virginia Music Therapy Association
. She is also incredibly passionate about being part of the larger community and giving back whenever possible. She attended Randolph-Macon College to obtain her undergraduate degree in Music Industry. She went on to earn her Graduate Certificate in Music Therapy at Shenandoah University. Since completing her certificate in 2009, Miriam has practiced music therapy in the community with private clients as well as providing services to state agencies and local music schools.
