Our vacation started with lightning striking our utilities and ended with a flat tire on the way home from the cities. Never too late to learn something new I guess. I successfully changed my first flat tire in less than 30 minutes! But can I just go back to work now?? Pleeeease 🙏 I am ready! 😅

Happy International Mud Day!! It was started in Australia and today is a day for adults and children to celebrate being messy and playful outdoors. We do that every day so we had to up our game! We took some different types of sand and soils and added water. We enjoyed taking the children’s lead on what to do next. And they knew exactly how to play and be with mud. They’re so wise.

My heart is full today and filled with gratitude and hope. We had a visit from 28 middle schoolers today as part of their Future Fridays learning about different careers. We had three stations for them to visit. The indoors, the playground and the forest classroom. Lots of great questions and engagement! A group of students to be proud of! And so happy to see 10 of our Tree Top alumni 🫶

Tree Top is growing! Literally! I bought 35 trees and shrubs from the Ashland County Land and Conservation Department. All native species that the wildlife will benefit from too. Got them planted over the last two days with some help from our little friends too! Huge thanks to the amazing Betsy Westlund for planting at such speeds that we could actually finish! I love how Tree Top has new species to enjoy now and for many generations to come! 🌱🌳 We added American Plum, Highbush Cranberry, Ninebark, Tamarack, Swamp Oak, Burr Oak, and Sugar Maple. 🤩
