campus awareness of the African American culture and to meet the social spiritual and academic needs of African American students and other students interested in the African American culture. To provide leadership for African American students to get involved in broader campus activities and in developing leadership skills to be used in promoting African American culture campus wide. To serve as representative for Ashland University Administrators, faculty, student organization, the news media, community organizations, and other groups that request information on the status of African American students of Ashland University.To extend the active and advisory services to the office of Admissions in recruitment and retention of African American students. To encourage the support and participation of all students and faculty regardless of race or ethnicity, in furthermore of the goals of the constriction.
