✨ Teacher Spotlight ✨

Meet Eden, one of our amazing early childhood educators. Eden has woven her love for early childhood development through a tapestry of diverse experiences over the past six years, working closely with parents and children in various capacities.

Eden’s journey includes earning her certification as a labor and postpartum doula, where she honed her skills in active listening and sensitive observation. Additionally, Eden has worked with children on the autism spectrum and holds a certification from the Oregon Department of Disabilities, which reflects her commitment to educational inclusivity and accessibility.

Currently, Eden is pursuing her Early Childhood Teacher Certification through the Micha-el Institute in Portland, Oregon. Beyond the classroom, Eden embodies a playful spirit and a profound joy in her interactions with little ones. She believes in the transformative power of education and is passionate about creating spaces where children can thrive in their authenticity.

It signifies a developmental change, whether it is a birthday, turning a year older or graduating from our sweet program and into a new grade. The sense of happiness and pride on the child’s face as they cross the bridge is something special. In Waldorf philosophy

When parents learn we’re an all-outdoor school, the first question is often about the cold. No worries—cold we can handle with layers and movement! 🌬️

It’s the extreme heat that’s trickier. Fortunately, we have back up plans on backup plans. This week, with temps soaring over 100°F, we’ve moved indoors with AC, air purifiers, and plenty of water play. Hoping to return to our beloved forest next week!
