Do you have homeschooled high schoolers who would be interested in taking biology, but the idea of doing the labs at home is holding you back? We are offering MasterBooks Biology labs this year at the AU Homeschool and Classical Learning Center!
We have 10 spots left in Group B. They will meet every other Thursday, September 10–November 19, 2026. This fall session is part of a full-year laboratory course that continues in the spring.
Designed for students in grades 9–12, this High School Biology Lab provides the hands-on laboratory experience needed to complement the MasterBooks High School Biology curriculum. Students meet every other week during the fall and spring semesters to complete laboratory investigations and explore topics such as cells, genetics, ecosystems, biomes, and the remarkable complexity of living organisms.
Through engaging experiments and observations, students will develop practical scientific skills, including proper light microscope use, dissection techniques, and accurate laboratory documentation.
Because this is a laboratory companion course, students should complete the assigned reading and coursework from the MasterBooks High School Biology Student Text at home before each lab session. Students must bring the Teacher Guide, which contains the required lab reports, to every class. Enrollment requires a commitment to the full year of laboratory instruction.
All laboratory materials and supplies are provided. The required MasterBooks High School Biology Student Text and Teacher Guide may be purchased as a set for approximately $68 through MasterBooks, Christianbook.com, or other homeschool curricula retailers.
This workshop is for students ages 14–18. Fill out our new Family Registration form (even if you've done it in past years), and you will receive a link to request workshops.
