The Library is devastated to learn of the passing of Dolly Parton, not only a talented musician, but also a true titan of children's literacy. Her Imagination Library has received multiple Library of Congress Literacy Awards and, in 2018, Dolly visited us to donate the program’s 100 millionth book to our collection. She even hosted story time. 🦋❤️

Boyd County Adult Education is now located in G108 at the College Drive Campus!

They offer a variety of free services to individuals ages 18 and up, in-person and online, such as:

• GED Preparation
• The National Career Readiness Certificate
• The Kentucky Essential Skills Certificate
• Employer-Requested WorkKeys testing
• College Admissions test preparation
• The Kentucky Para-educator test
• English as a Second Language
• Refresher courses in math, reading, language (English), science, and social studies.

Their hours are:
Monday 8:00am-4:00pm
Tuesdays 7:30am-1:00pm 5:00pm-7:30pm
Wednesdays will be 8:00am-3:00pm
Thursdays 7:30am-1:00pm 5:00pm-7:30 pm

First day of classes - Aug. 17
Last day to add a class - Aug. 19
Last day to apply for fall graduation - Sept. 2
College closed for Labor Day - Sept. 7

Degrees, diplomas, and certificates have arrived at ACTC for Spring 2026 graduates. Please stop by the College Drive Welcome Center (Room 214) with a photo ID, and pick up your credentials today!

Our summer office hours are Monday-Thursday, 8:00am-4:30pm.

Please note that during the summer, Fridays are remote workdays; however, the college is fully closed tomorrow and will reopen on Monday.
