🚲🌲 TRAILS in Action: Outdoor Education + Civic Engagement 🌲🚲
One of our favorite TRAILS traditions is learning beyond the classroom. Recently, our middle school students, alongside parent and caregiver volunteers, biked to the Medford Public Library and shared lunch at a local restaurant—connecting civic learning, independence, and community in a meaningful way. 💚
These signature outdoor education civics trips reflect what TRAILS is all about: building confident learners through real-world experiences, collaboration, and care for our local community.

🦖🎉 RAWR‑some teamwork, TRAILS! 🎉🦖
We are so proud of our students for the hard work, enthusiasm, and commitment they’ve shown during our ongoing raffle fundraiser. Their efforts so far have been incredible, and we wanted to pause and celebrate the momentum they’re building together.
To recognize their teamwork and dedication, our staff joined in the fun by dressing up in costumes for the day, including one very memorable dinosaur, as a way to cheer them on and say thank you for all they’ve done so far.
A huge thank you to our families and community for supporting TRAILS Outdoor School. Your generosity and encouragement help make outdoor, hands‑on, and creative learning possible for our students.
The raffle is still going, and we’re excited to see what our students continue to accomplish. Thank you for being such an important part of the TRAILS community! 💚

🌲 Now Accepting Applications for All Grade Levels — TRAILS Outdoor School
Where learning happens outdoors, in community, and through real experiences.
From fall adventures in the redwoods to winter skills in the snow, TRAILS students learn in some of Southern Oregon’s most beautiful outdoor classrooms. These photos highlight a few of the meaningful outdoor learning experiences our students have had in recent years.
✨ A Middle School Parent Shares:
“TRAILS is truly something special. My child spent Fridays exploring the Cascade‑Siskiyou National Monument, crossing rivers, tracking butterflies, biking to the watershed, and even summiting Mt. McLaughlin. The overnight and backpacking trips taught self‑reliance, grit, and determination in ways a traditional classroom simply can’t.”
At TRAILS, academic learning is intentionally woven into hands‑on, place‑based experiences. Students grow in confidence, curiosity, and connection—to each other, their community, and the natural world.
