Southern Oregon University Theatre Department has a great line-up for its 26-27 season!
Join us for our Main Stage series. Fully realized, large-scale productions - tickets $20-25, free admission for SOU Students/Employees. Including free for students, of any school, for up to 2 tickets.
Fall Term: Lucy Kirkwood's The Welkin. Set in the 18th century England, 12 ordinary women are gathered as jury to determine the accused sentencing.
Winter Term: The Threepenny Opera. Murderous antihero Mackie Messer (a.k.a. Mack the Knife) slashes through Victorian London in Bertolt Brecht’s scandalous satire, infused with Kurt Weill’s infectious, jazz-infused score.
Spring Term: William Shakespeare's classic tale of love and hijinks! It follows Viola, who disguises herself as a man after a shipwreck, sparking a chaotic love triangle with Duke Orsino and Countess Olivia in the land of Illyria.
Black Box series: Intimate, student-driven work - admission is free but seating limited.
BFA Performance Showcase: Featuring BFA actors in scenes and monologues that highlight their craft and professional training.
One Act Fest: A festival of short plays directed, designed, and performed by SOU theatre students.
Theatre for Young Audiences Workshop: Join us for "The Boy Who Loved Monsters and the Girl Who Loved Peas" by Jonathan Graham. A student-produced family-friendly performance created to entertain audiences of all ages.
