1️⃣ Civics & Government
2️⃣ U.S. History
3️⃣ World History
4️⃣ Economics
5️⃣ Geography
6️⃣ Rights & Responsibilities
7️⃣ Culture & Society
8️⃣ Conflict & Cooperation
9️⃣ Change Over Time

Tip: Focus on reading graphs, maps, charts, and short historical passages—strong reading skills are key to success in Social Studies.

On the 8th Day of Christmas, my GED instructor gave to me… Eight Grammar Helpers!

Good grammar helps your writing sound clear and confident, especially on the GED Extended Response. These eight helpers can make a big difference:

1️⃣ Capitalization – Proper nouns and the first word of a sentence
2️⃣ Commas – Separate ideas and items in a list
3️⃣ Subject–Verb Agreement – Make sure they match
4️⃣ Complete Sentences – Avoid fragments
5️⃣ Run-On Sentences – Break long ideas into parts
6️⃣ Homophones – their/there/they’re
7️⃣ Apostrophes – Show ownership and contractions
8️⃣ Transition Words – Help ideas flow smoothly

Tip: Clear writing earns points—even if it isn’t perfect.

On the 7th Day of Christmas, my GED Instructor gave to me… Seven Study Habits!

Success on the GED isn’t about studying longer; it’s about studying smarter. These seven habits can help you stay focused and make real progress:

1️⃣ Study in short sessions
2️⃣ Stick to a routine
3️⃣ Limit distractions
4️⃣ Use practice questions
5️⃣ Take notes as you learn
6️⃣ Ask for help when you need it
7️⃣ Celebrate small wins

Research indicates that maintaining consistent study habits, even for just 20–30 minutes a day, can lead to improved retention and long-term success.

On the 6th Day of Christmas, my GED Instructor gave to me… Six Science Facts!

Science on the GED is about understanding how the world works, not memorizing complicated formulas. These six core ideas show up often on the test:

1️⃣ Gravity – The force that pulls objects toward Earth
2️⃣ Photosynthesis – How plants use sunlight to make food
3️⃣ Atoms – The smallest units of matter
4️⃣ Energy Transfer – How energy moves between objects or systems
5️⃣ Scientific Method – Asking questions, testing ideas, and analyzing results
6️⃣ Basic Genetics – How traits are passed from parents to offspring

Tip: Focus on reading charts, graphs, and short passages—those skills matter most on the GED Science test.
