The Ashland Area Community Concert Band is back for the 2026-2027 season, and we would love to have you with us! 🎺🎷

FIRST REHEARSAL
Tuesday, September 8
7:30 to 9:00 PM
Room 115, Center for the Arts
We rehearse every Tuesday evening at that same time.

WHO CAN JOIN
Adult musicians of all ages and experience levels, Ashland University students, and talented high school musicians who are looking for a musical challenge. If you played in school and your instrument has been in the closet for a while, this is your sign to pull it out. You will find a friendly, welcoming group here, whether this is your first season or your twentieth.

REGISTRATION AND PARTICIPATION FEE
Adults: $25
High school students: $15
AU Students: No charge when signed up for MUSIC 051 A

Fees may be paid in person at the AU Campus Store or online. Online purchases carry a small additional processing fee. The online payment portal is not live yet, but once it opens, the payment link will be posted here: https://www.ashland.edu/performing-arts-tickets

Please have your fee paid by September 15.

Theta Zeta is hosting a water drive for the AU marching band this year! Every game Theta Zeta provides water bottles for the band after halftime. If you would like to support the bands as well please reach out to donate! We would appreciate so much! If you're unable to drop water off we are also accepting cash donations through cash app and venmo. Our current VPM, Lauryn Stover, is running the drive so the online payment options are hers.

ALUMNI of the Ashland University Marching Band! 🥁🎵

We look forward to having you join us at Homecoming on Saturday, October 3rd, when the Eagles host Tiffin University with a 1 PM kickoff, for a combined performance of current and former members of the AUMB. This year's halftime show is a tribute to the 80s, featuring "Take on Me," "Billie Jean," and "Holding Out for a Hero."

Alumni are invited to perform Billie Jean (twirler feature) and Holding Out for a Hero at halftime, in addition to the Battle Song, Remember, and Hey Cheer during pregame. You are also welcome to join us in the stands during the game to play stand tunes!

🎺 CALLING ALL HIGH SCHOOL MARCHERS 🦅

Ever wondered what it feels like to take the field with a college marching band? On Saturday, September 12, you can find out!

Marching Eagle for a Day 2026 puts you shoulder to shoulder with the Ashland University Marching Band at Jack Miller Stadium. You will rehearse with us, eat with us, march into the stadium with us, and perform live at pregame AND halftime in front of a full house of Eagle fans.

🥁 You will perform:
Pregame: The Killers "Mr. Brightside"
Halftime: Beyonce's "Crazy in Love"

✅ Open to ANY current high school band, twirler, or color guard member
✅ Bring your instrument or equipment and wear your school uniform (summer or full)
✅ Music and routines are sent to you ahead of time
✅ Dinner on us
✅ Stay for the game and join us in the stands

Check in is 2:30 PM. Kickoff is 7:00 PM. The whole night is yours! 🏈

The Ashland University community stands with our neighbors here in Ashland.

During their long-anticipated Spring Break trip to perform at Walt Disney World, Ashland High School's Marching Band suffered a devastating setback: on the night of March 28th, their band trailer was broken into and several student instruments were stolen — just one day before their scheduled performance on Main Street in Magic Kingdom.

In true form, their directors and students refused to let this moment be taken from them. Replacement instruments were secured, and the band performed as planned. That kind of resilience is something every music educator is proud to witness.

The financial recovery, however, is ongoing. The Ashland High School Band Boosters are raising funds to replace stolen instruments and cover emergency rental costs. We encourage our AU community — students, faculty, alumni, and supporters — to consider contributing or sharing their story.
