Applications are now open for two 2025 seasonal positions at Isle Royale: Park Guide and Park Ranger (Interpretation).

Park Guides and Park Ranger Interpreters work in the Interpretation and Visitor Services division, and serve as front line representatives of Isle Royale National Park. Job duties of a Park Guide and Park Ranger Interpreter include staffing visitor centers, providing information on Isle Royale’s natural, cultural, and historical resources, issuing permits, developing and presenting guided walks and educational programs, and more!

✅ Positions are available both on Isle Royale, and at the park’s mainland headquarters in Houghton, MI.

✅ Start Date: March – July 2025.

✅ Applications are open to the first 550 applicants (Park Guide), and 750 applicants (Park Ranger Interpreter), or until October 25th, whichever comes first.

I know I’m a little late in posting, but the recent Nonprofit Fair was too good not to share! The Ponzio was buzzing with energy as folks came out to meet one another and learn about the incredible initiatives happening in our area.

The whole event really highlighted the strong community ties that we’re lucky to have here. :)

FYI there were and are plenty of chances to get involved in these amazing orgs through volunteer or internship opportunities!

Next Monday (October 14th) from 4:30-5:30, there will be 27 local nonprofits tabling in the Ponzio! Take a minute to learn about the critical work they do to serve our community AND ask how you can get involved.

There will also be some cute critters to meet from both the CHA and Helping PAWS. 😊
