Today the students in Coach B.’s room participated in a lab & used cookies to work through the stages of mitosis. They had to research what each phase was to create it on the cookie using sprinkles.

AMHS Administration dropped in to classrooms today & saw some of the following teaching & learning:
🍎 In Mrs. Swords ELA, students were taught working on a learning game on theme & central idea.
🍎 In Coach B’s science class, students were working in our new Stile program to further learn about DNA & its characteristics.
🍎 In Ms. Gray’s math class, students were diving deeper into Math academic vocabulary & learning how to dismiss the wrong answers in multiple choice.

Today, we introduced ASH the Blue Devil to the students at Ashland Elementary School & it was a great way to help kickoff the football season. Our Senior football players greeted students to welcome them to a great day of teaching & learning. We hope to see you this evening at 5P as we take on Hickory Flat in volleyball & 7P as we take on Smithville in football.
