🚌Good morning! We have reports of some major traffic delays in the north cluster this morning as Interstate 24 and Highway 41-A are at a standstill due to an accident. Please expect some delays in our transportation service this morning. Thank you for your patience and understanding.🚌

NOTE: Our mass notification system for families is temporary unavailable. We want to share the following message that affects bus route 46 in South Cheatham County. Once the system is available, families will receive the message.

The Transportation Office is reaching out to inform you that school bus Route 46 will not be able to operate on Monday, October 6, 2025, in the afternoon and all day on Wednesday, October 8, 2025.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We understand how important reliable transportation is for our students and families. Unfortunately, due to a temporary shortage of drivers this week, we will need your assistance in arranging alternate transportation for your child on those dates.

We greatly appreciate your patience and understanding during this time. Bus Route 46 will resume regular service on Thursday, October 9, 2025.

Cheatham County bus drivers attended in-service Monday and Tuesday at the transportation facility.

Our drivers have learned a lot and will be ready to hit the roads in August. County fire departments and the SWAT team helped lead some of the training this year.

Congrats to our Employee of the Month!

Marcus Woolcott has been the transportation department’s shop foreman and also drives routes for the department when we are short drivers. Marcus has been traveling “across the river” to drive a route for several months.
