Steve and I are okay. This long-unfolding disaster is still unfolding. We have what we NEED.

We are resilient, and this area needs help and donations.
I wish I knew the best places to donate. Post below, y’all.
I have very limited ability to communicate.
Know that most people here are actively in trauma mode or grieving something. If not their own disasters, the regional disaster. The devastation all around us. Towns gone.
Also people coming together.
There is much help right now.
And more needed for a long time.
Search and rescue efforts continue—8 days now since Helene.

Honestly it freaked me out for a minute. But when I realized satellites are doing the same constantly, I relaxed.

My friend Paul is a visionary, a generous sharer of knowledge and tools, and one of the founding members of Earthaven Ecovillage. Without him, the incredible Council Hall and so many other buildings would possibly never have been built, and definitely not have been as amazing as they are.
This next big vision is for what we call ⛩ the Village Arts Building.
The frame is up, as you can see in the go fund me video, and needs at least the basics of a permanent roof to protect what has already been started. 🏗

This sculpture of cob tree project is turning out incredible! Once people get their hands in the mud, the creativity flows. 🌊🏄🏽♂️ Ride the wave!!!
I am planning some hands-on classes with mud. Sign up for our newsletter at www.MudStrawLove.com to find out when I actually schedule them! In the meantime, there’s a live online intro to natural building class to check out. 💗
For this project, the trees are much bigger, and there’s much more sculpture involved than I ever imagined at the beginning! Lots of work, and lotsa FUN! Connections are made in the mud—with self, with Earth, and with others. 💚💗💚💗💚
Many thanks to the creative and hard-working volunteers who are making this project really come to life. In fact making it really possible! Couldn’t do it without all of you! It has been an honor to lead, focalized, teach, listen to, and power all the people that have showed up. Still more to go!
