My FB post asking for donations for hurricane Relief raised nearly $5000 and all of it has been distributed to families in need. Including:
- purchasing generators for two families in my neighborhood who couldn't afford them
- Giving cash to two families who lost everything in the storm
- Helping a family who's road is still impassable to keep their daughter in nature programs with her friends
- And donating to a man in Celo so he can purchase a new dumptruck and continue helping his neighbors rebuild their roads

If anyone else feels moved to donate I will continue to get the money in the hands of people who need it.

My venmo is -Ismerio (last four of my phone number is 0362) and my PayPal is [email protected]

Thanks so much for your support

🔥 I wanted to take a few minutes to shine a spotlight on some of the schools, teachers and gatherings in the Asheville, NC area who's work is inspiring and truly aligns with the kind of world I am dedicated to cocreating.

🔥 A world where culture and community are valued and cultivated, where we can learn and create together, remembering the skills our ancestors practiced and our connection to nature is celebrated.

* Holistic Survival School
Offers hands on workshops in primitive bowmaking as well as, the near and dear to my heart, 10 month Deep Remembering Immersion program and much more!
* Forest Floor Wilderness Programs is the children's nature connection program that I work with to bring mentorship and the invaluable gift of belonging to, not as spectators visiting, the natural world and the host of beings who make it so vibrant.
* John C. Campbell Folk School is a hub of cultural stewardship and heritage craft revival. It offers week long classes in everything from shoemaking, woodworking, blacksmithing, stained glass, quilting, folk dancing, banjo playing, cooking (insert 50 more classes you've always dreamed if taking)...
I have taught shoemaking there for nearly ten years, as well as visit as a student, myself multiple times per year!
* School of Integrated Living at Earthaven Ecovillage is an educational branch of Earthhaven Ecovillage that teaches whole-life skills for a radically different and sustainable future along the lines of permaculture, adult nature connection and wellness with an emphasis on community, experiential and embodied learning.
* Wild Abundance hosts local workshops including willow basketry, woodworking, blacksmithing, gardening, tiny home carpentry and has really comprehensive online courses available.
* Rhythm & Ritual teaches various traditional broom making classes locally, weaving a sense of the sacred and ceremonial into the process for a truly personal touch.
* Firefly Gathering is a week long campout skills gathering with a line up of teachers sure to satisfy any Maker's need to learn and create, play and sing, dance and repeat.
* Earthskills Rendezvous (https://www.primitiveskills.org/)
Is a biannual gathering focused on creating a village-like experience brimming with workshops ranging from instrument making, hide tanning, primitive pottery, weaving, candle making, song circles, timber framing, natural dying, to medicine making, goat milking, spoon and bowl carving, flint knapping and (you guessed it) MORE!

>full transparency: I have collaborated with, organized or worked for, taught or been taught by and am in real life friendships with these folks and organizations AND I don't get compensated for promoting them. They just offer such lovely work to the world that, if I were you, I'd want to know about 😊.
