What’s a psoas (“so-az”) and why should I care about it?
The iliopsoas muscle group connects the legs to the hips and spine, and a tight psoas can cause pain and injury in the knees, hips, pelvis, low back, and abdomen. It is part of a collection of muscles that draws the body into the protective fetal pose and part of the muscles that help us to run away from danger. It is programmed to fire whenever we experience stress and trauma. Releasing the psoas means releasing trauma and hyperstimulation from our mind and body, something we can only do by relaxing into the rest and digest state. Come learn about your psoas and how to unwind it with Tucker.

📢 This is a special message! 📢
I want to start by saying how proud I am of Beth for how far she’s come and how much she has grown in the past years. I watched her become an incredible teacher in front of my eyes, which is why this is so emotional for me. Going from day one as a student to now, she has gained so much confidence and fluency and such a deep understanding of this practice. To see how she navigates students through this practice is so inspiring to see.
Now comes the bittersweet part–I knew this day was coming, I just didn’t know when. Let me tell you, I couldn’t be happier for Beth in her new journey. Beth has officially decided to strike out on her own outside of Tucker Yoga.
She’s such an independent and strong person, that I know deep in my heart that she’s going to do such great work. We want to offer her our full support and BIG congratulations.
For those who are used to taking both of our classes, we know this is going to be a big shift, but we've got some great plans for this transition and will work with everybody to make this it feel as smooth as possible. We don’t want anybody to feel like you can’t continue practicing with both of us, and we are putting things in place to make this possible.
So, stay tuned for more info soon about updates to our schedule, pricing, packages and more… And one more time, congratulations Beth! We wish you all the best in this new chapter. You got this!

If you've been waiting to treat yourself to a therapeutic and soothing practice this is your chance! Let's carve out some time to love on our hips.
The hips are an incredible powerhouses for the physical and emotional bodies. Designed to move fluidly, the pelvic girdle is unfortunately impeded by the large amount of sitting that our culture undertakes daily.
There are many consequences to this, including:
☑️ Loss of circulation
☑️ Decreased movement of lymphatic fluid
☑️ Constriction throughout the torso
☑️ Impoverished digestive and reproductive functions
☑️ Pain and injury to the knees and shoulders.
This practice is for you if you feel like you need to unwind restrictions in your hips and walk towards a healthier body. We will free blockages in the soft tissues that restrict this area of the body.
This is a beginner-friendly practice, so all levels are welcome!
