One of the most profound things that happens inside a Spirited Improv circle —
People exhale in a way they haven't all week.

Maybe all month.

Because nervous system safety isn't just about what's happening inside you. It's about the room you're standing in. The faces around you. The knowledge that no one here is going to judge you, compete with you, or make you feel small.

We co-regulate. That's the science behind why being in community with warm, open-hearted humans literally calms your body down.

When your body feels safe, something extraordinary becomes possible.
You play. You create. You connect. You heal.

And somehow, you drive home feeling more like yourself than you have in a long time.

When was the last time you were somewhere that made your whole body relax?

“Spirited Improv literally saved my broken heart after my mom crossed over. You’re welcome to join us with an open heart and receive the many gifts that improv and play have to offer!” ~ Shirley

Sometimes people come for play and laughter.

And sometimes they arrive carrying something much heavier.

What we often discover together is that when a room is filled with presence, kindness, and open hearts, something healing naturally unfolds.

You’re always welcome to join us with an open heart and see what gifts the moment brings.

Tag someone who needs to hear that healing alone has limits and that's completely okay.

We were never designed to do this by ourselves.

What does co-regulation feel like for you when you experience it?

People come expecting a fun improv class. What they find is something they didn't know they were looking for.

Many of us are starving for something we can't quite name. A space that holds the full weight of being human right now. Where we can come alive and laugh and break open together, where strangers become people who genuinely know us, where something in us that went quiet starts to speak again.

Spirited Improv is that space.

We have new series that begin in September! Join a circle. Link in bio.

Nobody choreographed this.

One person moved.
Then another.

That's it. That's the whole instruction manual.

This is one moment from a Spirited Improv playshop, where movement is just one of the ways we play. Same room, same night, you'll also find singing, silliness, storytelling, and improv that nobody planned.

Come play with us in Asheville.

What if you showed up with no agenda, no plan, and no idea what was coming next?

That's the magic of Spirited Improv. Every playshop is different. Every experience is yours.

When you stop predicting and start playing, something inexplicable happens.
Spots are open for our next series in Asheville.

When did we decide that being a grown-up meant stopping playing?

Nobody told us the sandbox had an age limit.

Nobody handed us a memo that said joy was only for children.

And yet here we are — scheduling everything, optimizing everything, producing everything — and somewhere in the middle of all that, forgetting to just... play.

Spirited Improv is our way to remember.

Come be ridiculous with us in Asheville.

A circle of strangers. An unscripted moment. And somehow, by week two, you already feel like you belong.

That's the alchemy of Spirited Improv, a multi-week playshop series where improvisation becomes a doorway into deeper connection, self-expression, and presence, not just comedy.

It’s a multi-week playshop series where a circle of strangers becomes a community, one unscripted moment at a time. Some exercises stay light and silly. Others crack open something more reflective. Both are welcome here.

But something else tends to happen too. As the weeks go on and trust builds, the play opens doors that comedy alone doesn't reach. Presence deepens. Old patterns loosen. What began as playful exercise starts to feel like spiritual practice, a way of returning to the heart, again and again. People find themselves more connected to their own hearts and to each other than they expected.

We move through embodiment, storytelling, group exercises, and plenty of improvisational games, always rooted in curiosity rather than performance pressure. Every offering is welcome, from the boldest leap onto center stage to the quiet act of witnessing.

When's the last time you played? Really played, without an agenda or an outcome?

Lauren came to Spirited Improv to quiet her inner critic and find some generous play. That's exactly what she found.

This is a space where your presence matters more than your performance.

Join us for our next series in Asheville. Link in bio.

There's something we've been watching happen in Spirited Improv circles for years now. And it never stops moving us.

People arrive wanting fun, and community, or just a reason to get off the couch and into something that feels alive. And somewhere in the arc of six weeks together, something breaks open.

The part of them that learned early to stay small begins to move.

Someone discovers they can be angry -fully, loudly angry - and not lose a single person in the room.

Someone else finds that the grief they've been carrying alone doesn't have to be carried that way anymore.

A version of themselves they thought they'd left somewhere along the way (playful, expressive, unafraid) steps quietly back into the light.

And they take it home with them.

We hear it in the stories people share afterward. How they're showing up differently with their families. How they're speaking with more courage. How the people around them are responding as if something invisible just shifted - because it did.

This is what we've come to believe: transformation doesn't always announce itself. Sometimes it just happens when Love gets enough room to move through you.

That's what Spirited Improv makes room for.

There's still time to join the summer Playshop group series!
