Warning! Eloping in Alaska may cause uncontrollable smiles and fun. You may also get, cold, wet, dirty and simultaneously have the most fun time ever.

Elopements don’t have to be a single day of dressed up adventures. I love capturing couples dressed down & having fun getting a little dirty in the wild.

Fun fact: This amazing couple was here in Alaska for a work conference. midway through their trip they decided to spontaneously elope here because they fell in love with the state and had been planning on getting married soon anyways. Three day’s after they called me we had planned an incredible two day adventure. I walked them through getting their marriage license, they went clothing shopping, Sarah’s best friend flew across the country to be there for them.

Fun personal detail; Shay is an incredible musician and he mentioned wanting to play a song for Sarah when we were up in the mountains on our heli adventure. So my 11 year old daughter (who is also a musician) lent me her guitar so we could bring that vision to life.

Tiny Couple, Big Landscape
Often in a couples initial inquiry with me they mention wanting to experience a place that makes them feel small, like they are the only two people.
Alaska definitely delivers. It’s vast landscapes with mountains, glaciers, ocean that stretch as far as the eye can see, allow you to be fully immersed in the wilderness. It leaves you feeling like a tiny specks amongst a gorgeous backdrop.

Fun fact:
Before I ever photographed weddings or elopements, I went to college with a goal — to become a fashion photographer.
Now? I love helping couples feel confident and comfortable in front of the camera.
Only now... Instead of city streets or indoor studios. It’s in the wild, on glaciers or mountaintops, and even occasionally inside a dark Alaskan bar after the outdoor adventures wind down.
Because you deserve images that make you feel beautiful — no matter how wild the setting. 🤍🏔️

The only place in the US where you can get married on a glacier with beautiful blue pools & ice stretching as far as the eye can see. Where landscapes are so vast you’re left feeling small, like the only two people on the planet. Where the light never really goes away in summer and in the winter you experience endless golden hour.

To my brides who eagerly trade ballroom floors for wild landscapes and aren’t afraid of getting a little (or a lot) of dirt on their dresses, I’m so thankful to you.
A couple weeks ago I traveled to Montana to photograph a beautiful multi day elopement full of adventures, so excited to share images soon.
The next few months are quiet from an elopement perspective & I’ll doing a bunch of catch up on administrative side of running a business including launching a new website with some pretty exciting elopement packages (stay tuned), sharing more of my images from this summer’s elopements and diving into planning next summers elopements with couples! 🙌🙌
In just a couple weeks I’ll be headed out to spend 10 day’s in Costa Rica, my first personal trip I’ve taken in possibly 10+ years. I am so excited to head back to this beautiful country! More on that soon 👍
