Donate to Support Tim Exile & family through their cancer crisis, organised by Anna Shaw 06/10/2024

When the pandemic started, Tim launched what became the best collaborative music production tool ever made, allowing one to produce in real-time, with individuals or even groups of people located around the globe. I saw this as the future of music making and was devastated when the app was abruptly shuttered a few weeks ago. The reason was due to Tim's battle with cancer. This man and his family need our help. He has done SO much for the musicians and producers of the world. I pray he makes it through this.

So much to look forward to this year already, with some great additions to our cassette library thanks to .burst and , my favorite label and favorite synth wizard.

There’s a part of me that selfishly wants to keep Tone Burst a secret. The albums they release are next level, from the artists they choose to release, to the accompanying die cut artwork, and themes that span multiple releases. We are excited and honored to work with them on a few projects this year.

And Todd, as always you are an inspiration and a big part of why I have found myself a part of this great community of artists, engineers, and sonic explorers.

For my birthday yesterday, my daughter and I made a pizza box modular synth using paper (panels) push pins (k***s), popsicle sticks (sliders), pony beads (jacks), and pipe cleaners (patch cables). It was actually a great way to introduce various concepts like HP, RU, and the various components that are usually found on modules.

We finally made it to the factory in Asheville! What a great shop and staff! I didn’t get much time to play around because every synth I touched my daughter wanted to hear what it sounded like, but hopefully we will make it back before we leave Asheville. Really diggin’ this city.
