Ms. Peyton goes above and beyond each day to support our students, staff, and school community. Her kindness, dedication, patience, and willingness to help wherever needed make a lasting impact on everyone around her. She builds strong relationships with students and consistently helps create a positive and caring learning environment.

We couldn’t let Principal/Assistant Principal Appreciation Days go by without a huge shout out to our incredible leaders, Mrs. Davidson and Mr. Aten! Mrs. Davidson and Mr. Aten work tirelessly to make Haw Creek a safe and exceptional place for students to learn and staff to work. We are thankful for the dedication they show each day to our Haw Creek staff and families. Haw Creek is an extra special place, because of them! If you see them in the coming weeks, be sure to let them know how much you appreciate them and all they do for our school. We could celebrate you both, each and every day!

Third grade went on a field trip to the Cradle of Forestry. Students did a leaf activity and learned to identify what types of trees we have around us!

Our 2nd graders have been busy observing the life cycles of many different creatures! Students are closely watching tadpoles, caterpillars, ladybugs, chicks, and mealworms and recording the changes they notice as each one grows and transforms.

A few of our 4th grade buddies, from Mrs Tarantino’s class, came to teach a couple math games to some of our 2nd graders during Math Lab. They taught us how to play Shut the Box and Oh No, 99! They were wonderful teachers and we loved this collaboration with them! We can’t wait to continue playing these games!
