Congratulations to Keelin and Selma for winning the Stop Bullying poster competition! Their work along with Ebony’s poster, will be put on display in ACS schools.

Throwback to May when we sent athletes to the Special Olympics. This is such a fun day for everyone. We are so proud of Coach Grogan and her amazing student athletes!

ALL PAPERWORK MUST BE COMPLETED IN DRAGONFLY BEFORE YOU CAN PARTICIPATE IN ALL SPORTS

Ms. Madkins collaborated with Elliot Reed from Offlinearts.org for a cool analog lesson. Students went to the media center to locate places on a map (without digital assistance) then type of description of the place on a typewriter. This was many students’ first encounter with a typewriter.

At Asheville Middle, we are proud to celebrate students who consistently show our ROAR values which are Respect, Organization, Achievement, and Responsibility. When students are recognized for meeting or exceeding expectations in the classroom or around campus, they receive a positive office referral.

Each week we hold a drawing and announce our winners. Keep up the great work Karson, Sienna, and Kiyen!

If you had the chance, we hope you had time to stop by the art show like we did, because "impressed" is an understatement. The level of talent and craftsmanship being produced by students in multiple mediums is truly exceptional!

A massive thank you goes to our art teacher, Kathryn Meinert, for her unwavering dedication. She does an incredible job providing a unique, high-quality experience for every grade level. She doesn't just teach technique; she helps our students discover potential within themselves that they never knew they had.

We are so lucky to have her leading our visual arts program and guiding our young artists to such great heights! Excellence all around!
