This will be the first semester we are starting the academic year without this captain, Rodger Payne. It is certainly quieter in our corner of Zageir without his laugh and book thumping lectures. Here’s to hoping retirement is bringing less stress, more baseball, and all the time with the granchirren you could want.

Agya Boakye-Boaten, Ph.D., appointed inaugural Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences at SUNY Geneseo - News And Events | UNC Asheville Agya Boakye-Boaten, Ph.D., has been appointed as the inaugural Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences at SUNY Geneseo.

Congratulations to our newest alums Elliot Parker and Owen James! Elliot was recognized as a University Research Scholar and Owen graduated Magna Cum Laude. Both earned the University Honor of Distinction in Religious Studies.Thanks and congratulations to their friends and families who attended the festivities!

Four students were inducted into the Theta Alpha Kappa Honor Society recently, each receiving the special Elvis blessing. Congratulations to Seyla, Melody, Ambrose, and Ryan! Graduating TAK members Elliot and Owen were presented with their scarlet cords (not scarlet letters!), and both received departmental awards for Academic Achievement (Owen), Outstanding Academic Achievement (Elliot) and the Award for Excellence in Scholarship!
