✏️Things to know: ✏️

- ANY car seat can be traded in (expired, dingy, unusable, etc.)

- Prevent unsafe car seats from being used! (Keep ALL the kiddos safe)

- Coupon can be used on more than just car seats!

💡Sanity Nanny Ideas:💡

• ask friends or co-workers if they have a car seat they are finished with to get a discount on a new one!

• Trade in your current seat for the next size up!

• Donate your expired seat to a foster or adoptive family so they can use the discount for the seat(s)/gear they may need.

📆Start Date: June 6

Schedule provided at least 1 (one) month in advance (varies). Family needs approximately 20-30 hrs per week. Shifts often are either Full Day: 7:30 am - 5 pm or Half Day: 1 pm - 6 pm.

• CPR and First Aid Certified

The Sanity Nanny is recruiting for a professional, full-time nanny!

🧸Family in Swannanoa is hoping to find their very own “Mary Poppins” for their incredibly sweet 1 yr old. This position is for experienced professionals! Both parents work in and out of the home, enjoy the ability to pop in and out, and want someone who can keep things running smoothly.

🧹Ideal candidates understand that light housekeeping is part of the job. This includes dishes, tidying up and cleaning play areas and the child’s room, sweeping up messes, and vacuuming once a week.

🎵Throughout the week the child participates in various classes in the community. The caregiver will be responsible for taking the child and participating with them in these classes.

✅Qualifications for this position include:

•Pediatric CPR/First Aid Certification
•At least 4 years experience caring for toddlers (ideally in nanny placements)
•Comfortable with large dogs
•Vaccinated and COVID Cautious

The Sanity Nanny is on the lookout for a fun loving, adventurous, and reliable part-time nanny!

🧸 Care is for a soon-to-be 1 year old who LOVES to explore and learn new things. It is imperative the caregiver is engaging while on duty, providing age appropriate activities and stimulation. Parents use an attachment based parenting style and prefer the caregiver be willing to do the same (they are happy to go over what that means).

🧺 Ideal candidates will be willing to handle the child’s laundry and help with light meal prep. (Recipes provided)

⏰ There is potential for more hours Monday or Thursday afternoon.

I’m not sure about you, but I definitely needed this reminder this week!

Responding to our children (teens or spouses) when we are not calm or regulated is a recipe for hurt feelings, misunderstandings, and even more disregulation (flipped lids).
kristeen has an incredible post that breaks down the IDEAL approach when a child has big behaviors or emotions.

The key, take a deep breath for yourself! (Or whatever your calming technique may be)

Bonus: what a great opportunity to model for your child how to use calming techniques in the moment.

The lifecycle is full of developmental milestones! Every day we are learning, growing, changing! It is an incredible process!

The Sanity Nanny is growing and changing too! It is exciting, confusing, and full of sleep regressions! As with children, this is too shall pass.
