Daily action examples are well done blog post, social media post, reaching out to folks, strategic partnerships ideation, presenting publicly, planning something for your customers (email drips, challenges, etc) and so much more.

If I look back at last week’s East Perry sales, there is easily a few thousand in sales that are directly linked to blog post (that I wrote for the website) that were made years ago. Feels good, SO good!

Sometimes it’s hard to know what to do. Other times you are scaling and it’s hard to know what to prioritise. But it all starts with just showing up.

This is a massive trend I’ve been seeing for years and it only becomes more and more apparent.

When I say messy, I’m talking about raw, unfiltered, down to earth connection. I’m personally still feeling into this and getting comfortable with showing up more authentically with East Perry.

In IG stories, in our email campaigns, even with our ads. TikTok has really pushed this into hyper focus with “talk to the camera about why this product is amazing”. Of course, this can also come off as staged. But if you figure out how to do this across your platforms so that your customers can connect in and become part of the brand, you’ll see massive growth in your profits and repeat customers.

People want to feel an emotional connection to the brands they are buying from and the days of a 24-7 polished look are over. Of course, there are moments for polished content, I personally still use it. But it performs even better if you are consistently sharing more authentic, down to earth, content.

I’m honestly getting exhausted with all the messaging online these days that says all you need to do is manifest your dream life into existence. It’s such a trap. And honestly I used to believe in this. The weight it puts on us as business owners, can sink a ship.
Maybe I’m not thinking positively enough? Maybe I haven’t done enough healing and it’s preventing me from succeeding the way I want? The weight is real. And it consumes the mind and distracts us from the important work. The work on how to run a business.

I still totally believe that self work is important work, especially if you are managing a team because nobody wants a toxic boss. Also, self work is absolutely essential in being able to “weather the storm”. Balancing those highs and lows. This is important work. But these days I see so much emphasis on “manifesting” your reality. That mindset is everything in attracting opportunities and success.

There are going to be days that you feel beaten and utterly hopeless. And that’s actually normal in entrepreneurship. But we rise.

What actually turned everything around for me in my e-commerce business was when I started getting very strategic and started understanding my numbers. When i started putting together strategies, when I organized and structured. Reviewed data and more data. When I released my fear of being a leader and just stepped right into those shoes and absolutely accepted that it’s going to be hard but 100% committed to weather out the storms. Over and over again.

This lifestyle is hard and anyone who tells you otherwise is lying. There’s no ceiling and your success can take you places that you never imagined. But you better be willing to do the hard work. Everyday.

Let’s get practical and realistic. ✌️
