This might be a tough pill to swallow. ๐

After all your dieting attempts, you're still in the same place, dreaming about how happy, successful and worthy you'll be in a smaller body.

The truth is that diets don't work. That's why the magical life is something you're still running after (yet it never gets closer).
So stop chasing that dream and change your focus this year. ๐ซ

Habits that you can create to fight it include:

Do you find it annoying when others assume they know what you want to eat? ๐ฌ
Maybe you actually want a burger, not a grilled chicken sandwich, TYVM. ๐
That's why it's time to normalize eating whatever you want to eat. But, the only way to do that is to actually eat what you want in the moment, no matter who is around or what foods are being served.
I understand that eating what you want might feel scary, which is why I've created the Beginner's Guide to Ditching Diet Distress, so you can remove anxiety around food and feel more confident in your own skin! ๐

Picture this ๐ธ
You're sitting at the table, enjoying your meal, when you notice the food is less exciting. You're also eating more slowly than you did at the beginning of the meal, a sure sign you're getting full, even if you still feel like you have room for more food in your belly.
You decide you're done eating because you're satisfied and want to avoid feeling uncomfortably full. Smiling to yourself, you're so happy because this is huge progress from just a few months ago.
Ok, now back to reality.
If this situation feels impossible right now, I see you, and I want you to trust that it is totally possible.
Anyone can relearn hunger and fullness cues. Knowing what to look for is key! ๐

It's officially the new year, which means new beginnings! ๐คฉ
Instead of starting 2024 on a diet, I believe in your ability to change your mindset and relationships with both food and your body.
Part of that process can include saying affirmations. You can create your own or use the ones I've provided here.
Remember, any big change in life requires a mindset shift, and affirmations can help with that.
If you agree, write "affirm" in the comments! ๐

2024 is less than 48 hours away! ๐ฅณ
If you've started other years out by dieting or setting weight loss resolutions, let's do something different this year.
Here's how to NOT begin 2024:
โ starting a new diet
๐โโ๏ธ making up for what you ate at the holidays by exercising excessively
๐ซ avoiding certain foods
๐ creating new food rules
A better way to begin 2024 would be:
๐ฏ setting realistic goals that have nothing to do with dieting
๐น learning a new skill
โฎ๏ธ making peace with food

Here's what NOT to bring to your holiday celebrations this year! โฌ๏ธ
I bet you're looking forward to the quality time to spend with your family and friends, telling jokes, watching your favorite holiday movies and reminiscing about fun things that have happened in the past.
But you might be feeling anxious about the distractions that can get in the way of having a fun time.
If holidays stress you out because
๐ you're embarrassed about your clothes sizes
๐ you tend to overeat holiday foods in secret
๐ you never know how to react to comments about your weight (which only adds to your insecurities)
๐ you have a strong urge to start losing weight or going on a diet before you see everyone
Then you're not alone. Holidays used to stress me and my clients too.
But when you learn to let go of unrealistic expectations you have of your body (like it needing to look like a Kendall Kardashian) then you'll start embracing the joy of the holidays.
I know I know, it's easier said than done which is why I support my clients by giving them the tools to enjoy the holidays without food stress or food guilt.
It's not an overnight fix, but when you have me in your corner, you learn to make peace with food and your body so that you're not obsessing about the number on the scale of feeling powerless to food.
One key to making this happen is learning to understand your hunger & fullness cues so that you know how to avoid overeating.
Ready to get this into practice before the holidays then comment GUIDE below and I'll send you my brand new guide.
