Nestled in the trees on a homestead, Mountain View Playschool begins the day in the garden, followed by song and seasonal Montessori inspired lessons. Through hiking, explorative play, budding friendships, and a whole brain approach to problem solving and learning, our students grow and thrive.

Located in East Asheville just off of Tunnel / Riceville rd
A morning program serving ages 2-5 Monday thru Thursday from 9-1
2, 3, or 4 day options. We currently have 2 spaces available.

We have a few spots left open for Summer Camp.

Mountain View offers a half day program in East Asheville for ages 2-6 Our camp is located on a homestead with a strong focus on the garden and natural world. We explore the forest, work in the garden, sing merry songs, and create with our hands.

The following weeks have availability
July 20-25

5 days a week $250

Happy Earth Day from our friends to yours ❤️ Today we sang around the Oak tree and enjoyed another day getting in touch with the world around us. Introducing baby chicks to the flock, watching birds swoop through trees, enjoying the sun on our face and seeking shade beneath our mama oak. How glorious it is to be a steward for these children and watch them explore the world around them.

Guaging interest in camps for age 7-11

We have a few ”alumni” and older children who have aged out of our programs but want to return.
With the help of some amazing facilitators we are going to offer a couple of weeks of camp for our older friends here on our land.

They would
-Hike to the folk art center for inspiration in the Appalachia culture
-Learn a traditional square dance / experience the live music of banjo and fiddle playing
- Pratice traditional Appalachian crafts and leave with skills in felting, needle work, etc..
- Gardening and exploration of our forest

This would be 5 days from 9-1 or 2.

We’re still playing with the details and deciding how many weeks of this we want to offer

(The camp would be going on simultaneously with our preschool camps so if you have younger kiddos there is opportunity for them to join that group)
