My girl has mad skills! 🧑🏻‍🎨

Happy Birthday to this amazing gift from God! Joshua’s name means “Jehovah is my salvation.” His life has born testament to this and continues to do so. It is such a blessing that this precious little baby has grown up to be one of my very best friends! Happy Birthday son! I am incredibly proud of you!

I had a great time running with the Fairview Elementary School Run Club! I was extremely impressed with the stamina that the students were showing throughout! A few raindrops did not dampen their excitement! 

I had an awesome time running in the French Broad Relay with the Road Scholars, a rockstar team representing West Buncombe Elementary School, North Windy Ridge Intermediate School, Weaverville Elementary School, Weaverville Primary School, and Central Services! The A-E-I-O-U Team of Haw Creek Elementary School Fifth Grade Teachers, a student team from AC Reynolds Middle/High Schools, and staff members on other teams all brought Buncombe County Schools determination, grit, and fun to a wonderful morning!

Friday Night Football Week #5 was awesome! Having the opportunity to cheer on four of our great teams and school communities made for a fun-filled night that was absolutely worth the multiple wardrobe changes and halftime drive across the county! Class reunions from the 70s and 80s at both home schools vividly reminded me of the legacies we are charged with maintaining and building upon. My friends, the young people who are the Rockets, the Blackhawks, the Warriors, and the Jets make me convinced that the future is bright! I believe in them and I believe in the incredible educators who are preparing them to achieve their dreams!
