Building upon the insights from facilitatorEDGE, the design of the Soulful Facilitator Intensive, 20+ years of developing change agents and facilitators, and the roadmap I developed in my upcoming book Warrior Compassion, I'm creating a new facilitator mastermind experience specifically for Men in 2022:

Each Facilitator Lab is designed to strengthen men as facilitators to hold transformative space in the emergent - an approach that breaks the mold of traditional facilitation models - an approach that is heart-centered and soul-inspired and can drive sustainable change and deep transformation in organizations.

Yesterday, I launched my pre-sale campaign for my book Warrior Compassion: Unlocking the Healing Power in Men, which will be released by my publisher, New Degree Press in May 2022.

I reached 40% of my weekly goal and almost 10% of my total goal of 200 books, which is the litmus test for my publisher to see if this book has what it takes to reach the audiences that would buy this book.

This book plays at the intersection of men's healing/personal growth, compassionate masculinity, spiritual understanding, and systems transformation.

I might be biased, but I have a feeling this book is going to be a game changer for men and their healing at that soul level, for gender bridge building, and for compassionate systems change and culture transformation.

For the Upcoming Book: Warrior Compassion: Unlocking the Healing Power in Men

This book is evolving into a roadmap for men's soul healing as a catalyst for societal systems change.

I'm currently interviewing about 50 individuals across the gender continuum from diverse communities who are at the forefront of men's healing work. I'm hearing their stories about their own healing journeys and their perspectives on the healing men need most at this juncture in our history.

I want to keep expanding the circle of folks involved as this is becoming a co-creation for a movement of global compassionate healing.

A movement that will serve as a gateway to build compassionate bridges across gender, reframe leadership models and shift power dynamics from fear-based control into love-based empowerment, and reimagine crumbling systems and structures from a collective wisdom that will transform cultures that are more conscious, compassionate, and connected.

It's time to shift the conversation and narrative on Masculinity. By now, we've heard the terms: Toxic Masculinity, Healthy/Unhealthy Masculinity, Integrated/Unintegrated Masculinity. Implicit in these terms is often this idea that we need to fix something that is broken.

As Compassionate Bridge Builders, where we meet people where they are, there are a number of questions that we can begin to ask ourselves as we explore the topic of Masculinity:

✅What if we explore masculinity through a different lens that goes beyond dualistic (right and wrong/good and bad) thinking?

✅ What becomes possible when we infuse the construct of masculinity with compassion?

✅ What if we moved from this idea of fixing something that's broken to a conversation around compassionate healing?

✅ What if we took any judgment out of the conversation and became curious about our own relationship with masculinity and our masculine and feminine energies within regardless of our gender identity and expression?

✅ What if we fearlessly examined where we might have some strong reactions to, or might be triggered by, these concepts, constructs, or the language itself?

✅ And, what if we came together and embraced the transforming power of love and compassion within ourselves and each other as we get curious and explore these topics in deeper ways?

Rev. Sean Harvey, MSOD, MSEd, will guide us in an exploration of some of these questions and share his perspective on this paradigm shifting conversation that he believes is essential for healing and transforming our world. He will offer insights from multiple lenses (personal transformation, organizational and societal systems change, and a spiritual perspective).

Sean will introduce emerging ideas from his upcoming TedX: Compassion Makes the Warrior and his upcoming book, When the Black Bear Sings: The Healing Journey of a Compassionate Warrior. He will engage the group with thought-provoking questions and discussions as we explore a conversation that has been explored for years, but through a new lens and paradigm.

The Soulful Facilitator Intensive is a virtual, 12-week certificate program for experienced facilitators, bridge builders, space holders, leaders, and change makers who are seeking a next-level facilitation learning experience that takes their work deeper.

Each week, you'll engage around thought-provoking and cutting-edge facilitation topics and learning experiences with other compassion-centered and soul-inspired collaborators. Expanding Our Soul-Inspired Compassion

To become a Compassionate Bridge Building, we must first look within and engage in the deep and rigorous inner-bridge work to allow our soul-inspired compassion to come through. In this session, we will focus on understanding and deeply connecting with what we mean by soul-inspired compassion. We'll engage in activities and conversations that help us explore the blocks that might be preventing us from tapping into soul-inspired compassion fully and consistently especially when it's difficult. To be a compassionate bridge builder, we must examine the places where are able to freely access our open compassionate heart and the places where we find it most difficult to access.

We're beginning a new era where compassionate bridge building is so critical for our relationships, communities, nations, and world. Without true bridge building, we'll never be able to come together to innovate and solve the world's challenges in the ways that are most needed. What does it look like to be a compassionate bridge builder in our current times? How do we become compassionate bridge builders when we have diametrically opposing views in the space? How do we become compassionate bridge builders when our own deeply held values and beliefs are challenged in the space? How do we become compassionate bridge builders when we are feeling into our own emotions of anger, broken heartedness, and fear? And what inner work is required to be able to show up as a compassionate bridge builder consistently, especially in difficult times and when our values and beliefs are challenged? We'll begin a discussion next Thursday to break down where to start and explore the answers of these questions in community.

In December, Sympónia Institute launched the Compassionate Bridge Builder Call to Action. We're excited to launch the 2021 weekly conversations this Thursday at Noon EDT with the first discussion focused on Demystifying the Inner-Bridge Work.

We often hear the phrase, "do the work," but most of us have never been given the roadmap for how to do the work. In this conversation, we'll begin to share insights and wisdom to explore and demystify the roadmap for doing the work. As we continue to learn and are reminded that we can't be true bridge builders until we do our own work - the self-love work, the shadow work, the healing our wounds work, and the manifesting our purpose as bridge builders work.
