Balfour Elementary School serves approximately 550 students each day. See below for more information. Contact them privately. The mission of ACS is education.
Our mission is to create an inclusive learning environment to meet the needs of our multilingual community. As an affiliate of Asheboro City Schools, the Balfour Elementary School page uses the same rules of engagement as the district. Asheboro City Schools (ACS) uses Facebook to share important information with our public and engage in an open and respectful dialogue. To help us accompli
sh this goal, we ask that you abide by the following guidelines:
•Open conversation – no personal issues or complaints about students and/or school personnel should be contained in comments on this page. This page is not intended to circumvent regular communication channels for sharing personal issues and concerns, including personnel matters and student concerns. Comments regarding a personal issue with the district, a school, student, or staff member will be removed.
•Be respectful. While we encourage followers to share thoughts and opinions on our social media pages, we expect that this is done in a respectful manner. Therefore, a comment will be deleted if it contains:
Hate speech,
Profanity, obscenity, or vulgarity,
Nudity in profile pictures,
Defamation to a person or people,
Name calling, harassing, cyber bullying, stalking, or or personal attacks,
Comments whose main purpose are to sell a product,
Comments that infringe on copyrights,
Protected, confidential, or personally identifiable information,
Spam comments, such as the same comment posted repeatedly on a profile.
•Stay on topic. This is a page dedicated to the education of students of ACS. Please keep the conversation related to our district, schools, and activities. Comments of all kinds are welcome so long as they directly relate to our district, schools, and activities.
•Have a question for a specific employee? Followers should not expect responses to every question or comment posted on this page.
•Be aware of the mission. Please be certain that your comments and posts are appropriate for an educational environment and individuals of all ages.
•Be factual. Blatantly inaccurate information will not be allowed. False information will be removed.
•Employees of ACS may have personal pages. Don’t be surprised or offended if your request to “friend” them is ignored. District policy encourages staff to keep their personal lives personal.
•This page is yours and we want you to feel comfortable sharing your views about ACS, schools, or activities. However, abuse of the above guidelines can lead to removal of a specific posting or the blocking/removal from our page.

We are excited to name Mrs. Kerry Garner, an unsung hero, as our inaugural recipient of the Linda Russell Cranford Impact Award at Balfour Elementary. One nominator said, "She gives of herself with a happy, positive attitude every single day and Balfour is blessed to have her. We wouldn't be who we are without her!" We are proud to recommend Mrs. Garner recognition at the district level for her quiet yet impactful leadership. Thank you Mrs. Garner! Your amazing contributions are seen and appreciated!
