Comments whose main purpose are to sell a product,
Comments that infringe on copyrights,

•Have a question for a specific employee? Followers should not expect responses to every question or comment posted on this page.
•Be aware of the mission. The mission of ACS is education. Please be certain that your comments and posts are appropriate for an educational environment and individuals of all ages.
•Be factual. Blatantly inaccurate information will not be allowed. False information will be removed.
•Employees of ACS may have personal pages. Don’t be surprised or offended if your request to “friend” them is ignored. District policy encourages staff to keep their personal lives personal.

Guy B. Teachey Elementary School will serve as the site for a multi-agency emergency response training exercise July 27–31. During this time, the school building and campus will be closed to staff and the public.
Families needing to enroll a student or submit paperwork may visit a GBT staff member at the Asheboro City Schools Welcome Center, located behind Asheboro High School at 211 W. Walker Ave., Asheboro, during the following hours:
• Monday, July 27: 1:30–5:00 p.m.
• Tuesday, July 28: 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
• Wednesday, July 29: 8:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
• Thursday, July 30: 11:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

Updated Summer Meals Information!
Summer meals are still available at Lindley Park Elementary (312 Cliff Road, Asheboro, NC) at no cost, but now is served Monday-Friday! Breakfast is 7:45-8:15 and lunch time has also been extended and will be served from 12:00-1:00 pm.
The program ends August 7. This is open to all ages 18 and under; food must be consumed on site.

The Asheboro City Schools Board of Education approved an updated 2026-2027 school calendar at its meeting on Thursday, June 11, 2026.
Important things to note in the new 2026-2027 calendar:
🔹The first day of school for students remains Monday, August 24, 2026.
🔹Semester 1 will end before Winter Break on December 18, 2026.
🔹The last day for students will be May 28, 2027, allowing the school year to conclude before Memorial Day.

Today, our third, fourth, and fifth graders had a special guest at their EOG Pep Rally along with some fun games,inspirational posters and cheers from their K-2 buddies. Whiskers surprised us with his impressive dance moves to help the students know they need to try their best-tomorrow and every day, in all that they do.
