From species to species, parenting experiences seem pretty universal 😂🦉 The reward for being a good mom? Sometimes it’s a nice hug or a cute hand written card. And sometimes it’s a smack to the face. 🤣 How many of our followers are Moms who get smacked by their kids on the daily? 👀🫣
Ramona Barn Owls is a mission driven, woman-led brand using 24/7 livestream education to help grow love for owls and raptors and inspire action. Barn owls are nature’s rodent control, but rodenticides (rat poison) are quietly wiping them out and damaging entire ecosystems. Most people don’t even know it’s happening. That’s why we’re here. Through our YouTube channel, our clothing line, and our growing community, we’re helping people learn about wildlife and how to become part of protecting it 🥰

My passion is to educate through entertainment through the use of raptors vs. Rodenticide. We currently have 20 owlets.
Highlights from our four Barn Owl boxes and hawk cams, which you can watch live on YouTube: Ramona Barn Owls.
Which owl box matches your household right now? 🦉🤣 What you’re seeing is largely a reflection of where each family is in the nesting season, along with how many owls are packed into the box. Younger owlets tend to spend more time sleeping and growing and learning how to eat on their own, while older owlets are busy hopping, wingersizing, eating as much as possible, branching, and testing out their future flying skills.

This season has brought us a lot of joy and unfortunately a lot of heartbreak as well 💔
If you’ve been watching our livestreams, you may have noticed fewer owlets than we started with. While some loss can be part of wildlife and natural nesting seasons, we’ve experienced more than usual across all three families this year, largely due to challenges surrounding food availability. As a wildlife education channel, our goal has always been to observe, learn, document behaviors, and allow nature to run its course whenever possible. These are not pets. These are wild barn owls that chose to make their homes here, and with that comes both incredible moments and difficult ones.
However, there are times when circumstances become extreme and, under guidance from licensed wildlife professionals, we step in to give struggling owlets a chance. Right now, supplemental feeding has been helping support all three boxes as we continue rooting for these little fighters as they grow toward fledging.
Even during hard seasons, there is still hope. There are still little puffballs growing feathers and becoming owls before our eyes! And we would be here to root them on, whether it’s 15+ owlets or even just 1 💖
Thank you for being here through every high and low. Your comments, DMs, shares, livestream views, subscriptions, and support of our owl clothing line help us continue wildlife education and conservation work. 🥹🙏
NOTE: Supplemental feeding is done with support from licensed wildlife professionals. Please don’t attempt this without expert guidance.
When we saw the interior footage, we were so confused. The whole box was shaking and everyone inside looked startled. At first, we thought maybe another animal was outside, until we checked the exterior cameras and saw Maple absolutely wilding outside the box 💀
She was branching, hopping around, flapping all over the place, then casually came back inside looking completely confused as to why the babies were alarmed 😂 This actually isn’t behavior we normally see from Maple or the other adult barn owls, which made the moment even funnier 😆 You never know what you’ll catch on the RBO cameras!
