Exciting updates are coming to Cushing Athletics! š§
Work has begun on a multi-year initiative to enhance Cushingās outdoor fields and playing facilities. The first phase of the project, with anticipated completion in December of 2026, will install a new eight-court tennis hub adjacent to Watkins Field House. In addition, Adams Field will be leveled and turfed with a reoriented Hancock Baseball Diamond (and terraced seating along School Street) as well as a dedicated field hockey surface, all with improved drainage.
The second phase of the project will include similarly turfed and reoriented field and facilities for softball; a significant upgrade to Quimby Field, including new turf, lighting, and terraced spectator seating; and a new synthetic track complex at Girling Field, giving track and field a permanent campus home.
Weāre excited about these facility improvements, which will elevate our student-athlete experience and support Cushing programming for years to come.
