Rock Ridge Sings

Rock Ridge High School choral booster club

The Rock Ridge Sings choral booster club was established in August 2014 to support the musical arts at Rock Ridge High School, and specifically the various choral music programs under the direction of Conductor Jordan Markwood.

Mission: The Rock Ridge Sings choral booster club mission has five components: 1. Encourage and facilitate growth, success and sustainability of the Rock Ridge choir program. 2. Provide fundraising support for choir expenses and related student activities. 3. Facilitate volunteer support for the choir program and its events, activities, and functions. 4. Promote the Rock Ridge choir program, including its performances, activities, students, and community. 5. Foster greater communication between students, parents, choir directors, school administration, and the community at-large, as relates to musical arts.

Congratulations to Ian and Lauren for their outstanding performances with the All-Virginia Choirs this weekend!

Yesterday the Rock Ridge Chamber Choir was finally able to perform their VMEA program at All-VA. We have been preparing this concert since September and last night our students sang their hearts out! What better audience to hear a program about mental health and the human connection than our All-VA singers and directors! Thank you to everyone who supported us in the preparation and execution of this performance. After the concert a choral Director approached us and said, “Thank you! You all have saved lives tonight of people you have never met”. May we all remember that Love can deliver us out of any dark time and to never give up hope! #InSight #NeverLoseHope #rrsings
