Great job girls!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Hopes and Seams
Two Rock Ridge High School seniors, Amelie and Sophia Clarke, are being commended by the Virginia House of Delegates for their contributions to the Commonwealth through their non-profit enterprise Hopes & Seams.
The Clarke sisters, who are twins, describe themselves as “quaranteenagers.” In March, they founded Hopes & Seams to provide protective masks to front-line workers and the most vulnerable facing the COVID-19 pandemic.
Using sewing skills taught them by their grandmother, the Clarke sisters were able to donate more than 2,500 100-percent-cotton, handmade face masks to the first responders, healthcare workers and the elderly.
The sisters are now selling masks online (https://tinyurl.com/y4b27x5b) with the profits going to provide free masks to their target market. Organizations to which Hope & Seams has donated masks include Mobile Hope Loudoun, the Inova Children's Hospital, the Inova Schar Cancer Institute, Loudoun County Public Schools’ teachers and students, Food for Neighbors, Costa Family Dentistry, local pediatrician offices and local Chick-fil-A restaurants.

Remembering and honoring the brave men and women who fought for our freedom this Memorial Day. Thank you to all for your service and making the ultimate sacrifice!
In this new and challenging time of distance learning, our teachers are certainly working TO INFINITY and BEYOND normal duties! Although we had a wonderful, food-and-fun-packed week planned for the faculty, due to the campus closures, social distancing requirements and the current stay-at-home order, those plans were canceled. We will still be honoring our teachers, although differently than we would have liked.
We are collecting donations to distribute gift cards to the faculty. This year, Rock Ridge has over 160 faculty members and we hope to collect enough funds to give meaningful gifts to all of them! Please use the link below to donate.
