We focus on helping people as a whole through exercise, discipline, and a desire to be better. What is KAIZEN? The Japanese word “kaizen” is derived from “kai,” meaning simply “the action to correct or change for the better,” and “zen,” meaning “good” or “benefit.” Kaizen refers to any continuous effort, no matter the size of the effort, on a daily basis to make an improvement in the system as a whole.
Kaizen is a daily activity, the purpose of which goes beyond a simple improvement in productivity; small changes in every session will result in extraordinary improvement over the long run. Whether you want to get in shape, learn self defense, or fight professionally, we will cater your experience to your needs.
Mission: Our goal is to create life champions through the positive mental and physical developement achieved through martial arts training.

What to Bring Each Day
Kids should bring a lunch, snack, and their uniform each day.
Kids are NOT REQUIRED to bring/wear the "wacky" items for each theme day. If they can, great! If not, no worries! We know you have plenty on your plate already. :)
Here's a summarized list -
Mon 12/21 - Wacky sunglasses
Tues 12/22 - Wear all red or all green. (A green or red shirt will work just fine as well. This is to divide the kids into two teams.)
Wed 12/23 - Wear a holiday themed shirt or sweater IF YOU HAVE ONE. If you don't have one, no worries!
Mon 12/28 - Kids can wear whatever they think might be in fashion 1000 years into the future! Essentially wacky tacky day.
Tues 12/29 - Kids dress in their belt color. For example, if your child is an orange belt, they can wear orange.
Wed 12/30 - Wear pajamas! Bring a favorite board game to share if they have one.

Dear Parents and Students,
I know that everyone is going trough rough times and I hope that you all are staying strong and healthy. What counts is how we act and if we are positive and optimistic trough hard times, not when everything is great.
It has been a long journey for some of the students and parents. In July, 11 students tested for their BLACK BELTS. Even trough COVID 19 they continued their journey into martial arts. Those people will be very successful in life and no challenge will be able to stop them to achieve their goal. I am so proud of them. Tonight at 8 p.m. for kids and 9 p.m. for adults we will hold our black belt ceremony. Family and friends are welcome to join us.

In response, we have developed a NEW program to accommodate your and your child’s needs and schedules. What Is Different About the LCPS 2020-2021 School YearHow Will the Kaizen MMA Kids Program Be D...
Greetings,
We have had some parents with questions and concerns in regards to education. For those who have these questions and concerns, our primary focus during the school year is academics, not sport. The Kaizen Academics Camp will not be run the same as our summer camp. Where our summer camp was more geared to fun activities, our Academics Camp will focus on school.
Since the focus will be on academics we will have teachers from LCPS that will help out your child(ren) during the camp period. This way parents will not have to do much school work with their child(ren) after a long day of work.
Our Academics Camp will be structured in an hourly schedule like the traditional school day. We are waiting on the school schedules to know when the children's online classes will be, but we have the following daily academic activities planned for our Academic Camp schedule which we will schedule around their online school schedule:
Supervised Academic School Work ~ We provide one-on-one tutoring and supervision to supplement their online schoolwork provided by FCPS. Your child(ren) will complete their daily school work at Kaizen so you will not need to worry about their school work when you pick them up at the end of the day.
Silent Individual Reading Time ~ Children can read any book they choose during this time.
Arts and Crafts ~ We will provide craft supplies and art projects to keep the kids' creative juices running!
Physical Education (PE) ~ Martial arts and fitness class with full social distancing! No contact.
Outdoor Recess (if weather permits) ~ Outside park / nature trail walk for some fresh air and outside exercise! Social distancing
Additional Academic Enrichment ~ We are currently talking with *fun* online educational programs for kids such as The Thinking Kid (https://www.thethinkingkid.org/) to provide online educational programs IN ADDITION to the LCPS school curriculum!
Computer classes ~ Photoshop, iMovie, Coding, Doodle Video Editing
When it comes to our after-school pick-up, we will be following LCPS’s dismissal times and will adjust our operations to these times when LCPS finalizes their school schedule.
If you are planning on sending your child to our program please let us know as soon as possible, this way we can see how many slots we have available for non-members. Our priority is our current and loyal parents.
Below are our options for the memberships:
1. Full time membership:

Dear Kaizen MMA students and parents,
We hope your summer is going well.
We have been following Loudoun County regarding the upcoming school year and the scheduling changes! In response, we have developed a NEW program to accommodate your and your child’s needs and schedules.
This email includes the following information:
What Is Different About the LCPS 2020-2021 School Year

What Is Different About the LCPS 2020-2021 School Year
The Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) plan to open for in-person instruction only two days per week. On the other three days, children will have online independent study, Or they will have 4 days online instruction.
How Will the Kaizen Kids Programs Be Different?
Because of the abnormal school schedule, we will be offering an adjusted program; this program will be a combination of our After School Program and our Day Camp Program.
We will provide two days of after school care and three days of full day camp or full week camp.
Each family’s needs are different; we know that while some children will need five days per week, some children will only need after school or will only need camp day. Here’s how we’ve broken down our program to meet your needs--
**NEW** Combination After School / Day Camp Program
If your child needs full time care, we will provide After School for them two days per week (according to the LCPS schedule) and Day Camp for them on the remaining three days per week. This will be a FULL TIME MEMBERSHIP.
With a full time membership, you have the flexibility to send your child to day camp every and any day of the week!
We will coordinate with you to find out which days they will be attending school in-person if you choose to send them.
The goal of this program is flexibility!
If you decide not to send your child to school and would rather they attend camp five days per week, they can!
Whether your child attends school twice a week, once a week, or not at all, your child will have a place to go and your price will stay the same.
Alternatively, if there is a day they are regularly scheduled to attend their school but you choose not to send them, you can send them to an additional day of camp at no extra cost.
With the full-time membership, your child can attend up to five days of full day camp per week depending on their school schedule.
1. Full time membership:
After School / Day Camp Combination Program
Month to Month Membership
$1200 per month

Dear Students and Parents,
I’m sure it goes without saying, but here at Enshin Karate/ Kaizen MMA, the health and safety of our students, families and our team is always our #1 priority, in fact, it’s the whole reason we’re here! Our students and families depend on us to help them accomplish their personal, physical, and mental goals, and we’re dedicated to honoring that mutual commitment.
We’re closely monitoring the rapidly evolving situation with the Novel Caronavirus (COVID-19), and wanted to take this opportunity to let you know about what we’re currently planning, and the steps we are taking to help protect our students, team and guests to our school.
We feel it’s important that we take rational, well informed approach, and follow the guidance of the medical experts who are charged with the responsibility of informing the public in such times, and to not proliferate fear or panic. We want our students, families and team members to be and feel safe, be on routine, continue to build a strong healthy body and immune system, keep on progress with their rank and training, and their lives to be as undisturbed as possible during this potentially stressful time.
We’ll be communicating frequently with our students, families and staff by Email, SMS text messaging, phone calls, and updates on our website to keep you informed about the status of classes. So please keep an eye out for these messages.
As of today, our plan is to continue classes as scheduled, but are taking special precautions to serve and protect our students and families even better.
Our school is professionally cleaned, and surfaces disinfected each day, however, out of an abundance of caution, we are taking further actions to re-double our efforts.
These efforts include:
Disinfectant cleaning of the mats twice a day
Disinfectant wipe down of all doors and door handles, chairs, counter tops, card racks, shoe cubbies, desks, phones, keyboards, mice, and other commonly touched surfaces at least 3 times per day
Disinfecting training equipment twice daily, and using ‘disposable’ training aides where possible (for example, we’ll use kicking ‘papers’ instead of vinyl targets, and dispose of those papers after each class).
Disinfectant cleaning of all surfaces and fixtures in the restrooms between each class
Hand sanitizers are stationed at the front counter
All staff, students, parents and guests (anyone entering the school) will be required to sanitize hands when entering the school.
Limiting Close Contact in Classes:
We’ll be limiting close personal contact in many ways for the next few weeks. As we always do, we’ll greet with a courteous bow instead of handshakes, we’ll use ‘air’ high fives, thumbs up, and other non-contact motivational tools to let you know what you’re doing well.
Instructors will limit physical contact with students when correcting technique, and we’ll be limiting student to student contact as well. For example, we’ll conduct “distance” sparring and one-steps instead of making contact, teaching longer range self-defense techniques, and temporarily eliminating grappling.
But fear not, classes will be as exciting and high energy as ever!
Potential Attendance Interruptions:
Following the CDC’s guidance, we ask that if you or anyone in your household are showing flulike symptoms, have a fever, or feel ill, stay home. In the event that any student has to miss class(es), we’ll happily provide extra make up classes, private lessons and/or extra training opportunities (with more to be announced) for them to make up any lost classes or time. We’re here to help you achieve your goals, and will go above and beyond to help you get back ‘on track’ after any absence or school closure.
We are also strongly recommending (in part, per the CDC’s guidelines)
Only attend class in a washed, clean uniform
Clean your gear after each class following the manufacturers recommendation
Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds especially after you have been in a public place, or after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
If soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. Cover all surfaces of your hands and rub them together until they feel dry.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
Cover nose and mouth with the inside of your elbow when coughing or sneezing
Clean and Disinfect surfaces and touch points in your home often (daily)
Avoid close contact with anyone with cold of flu like symptoms
If you have flulike symptoms, stay home, and call your doctor
We recommend focusing on reliable sources of information on this topic - The Centers for Disease Control - www.cdc.gov - The World Health Organization – www.who.int .
We will continue to monitor this situation very closely, and will inform you of any changes quickly, but if you have absolutely any questions or concerns, please feel free to give us a call here at the school, or email us directly.
We’re so grateful for your continued support of our school, and our mission to create a better world, one Black Belt at a time.
Yours,
Sensei Vlado
