Individual scheduling begins tomorrow! Freshmen - Juniors will be pulled from study hall to speak to their counselor about their 2014-15 schedules. Sophomores are February 25 - 28; Juniors are March 4 - 7 & 11 - 14; Freshmen are March 25 - 28.

Have you read the Divergent series by Veronica Roth? Huntington Learning Center is sponsoring an essay contest open to students in grades 9 - 12. Write a short essay, describing which faction you would have been born into based on your family and which faction you would likely join at the Choosing Ceremony. Give real life examples to support your choices. Winning essay will receive a gift certificate for two from Not Your Average Joe's and two free movie tickets. Deadline for essay submission is March 16. For more information see the flyer posted in the Career Center.

Parents of students in grades 9 - 12 are invited to attend NOVA Night on Monday, February 24 at 7:00 p.m. in the SBHS library. Learn what Northern Virginia Community College has to offer, including the guaranteed admissions process, dual enrollment courses, and more. Speakers from the STEM, Biotech, Vet Technology departments will be on hand as well as NVCC Provost, Dr. Julie Leidig.
