In honor of this awesome group of kiddos that will graduate next Friday!! This is the Class of 2023’s 5th grade graduation! Look how little they were!!

We had a blast today showing our fifth graders how proud we are of them! They had fun walking down the halls to chearing from the underclassmen, autographing picture frame mattes, and eating pizza! Way to go 5th graders! We wish you the best of luck! We will miss you!!

We had such a good time with Santa and Mrs. Claus visiting us from the North Pole!
Students could make bracelets, write a letter to Santa, color, and enjoy cookies! Thank you to all of Santa's elves who helped with this fun event! Thank you so much to everyone who donated cookies!

We still need your help! If you would be willing to donate a batch of cookies for our event, please let us know by sending a note to school with your child tomorrow. The cookies will need to be at the school by Thursday, the 5th. Thank you!!

This free event is sponsored by the PTO and will be held Thursday at 5:30 . Please bring your own camera if you would like pictures.

5:30 - 7:00 p.m. the students will participate in the Halloween STEM Activities. Wear your Halloween costume and join us for a FUN FILLED night of STEM activities!

TCES Celebrates Red Ribbon Week 2019

Red Ribbon Week will be recognized at TCES beginning October 25-31, 2019. This year’s national theme is “Send a Message…Stay Drug Free!”

Red Ribbon Week is a nationwide event in which schools, parents, and community leaders work together to spread the message about the dangers of drug and alcohol use.

Red Ribbon Week began as a way to honor a former drug enforcement agent, Enrique “Kiki” Camarena. Kiki lost his life in the line of duty as he fought to seize drug traffickers in Mexico. Red Ribbon Week is a national way to remember his life and help stop the destruction caused by drugs.

Each year, schools try to make Red Ribbon Week a fun time while spreading an important message. At TCES, there will be different themed days for students to participate in while learning the dangers of drugs and alcohol. We will also have students and special visitors from local law enforcement to present to students on the dangers of drug/alcohol use as well as on bullying, since October is also National Bullying Prevention month.

We would like for all of our parents to support their children by encouraging them to participate in activities each day. Prizes will be awarded to the most creative outfit in each homeroom for the daily themed days.

The daily themes will be:

Friday, October 25- “Be a CHAMPION by Being Drug and Bully Free!”: everyone is encouraged to wear your favorite athletic gear/colors of a sports team you consider to be champions!

Monday, October 28- “Cool Kids REaD Instead of Bullying and Doing Drugs!”: everyone is encouraged to wear shades and dress in as much red as possible. *today we will have drop everything and read times!

Tuesday, October 29- “My Future is BRIGHT-No Drugs or Bullying in Sight!”: everyone is encouraged to dress in bright colors OR dress as your future career choice.

Wednesday, October 30- “We Won’t get Twisted Up with Drugs and Bullying!”: everyone is encouraged to wear mismatched clothing/shoes!

Thursday, October 31- “We Won’t be Tricked into doing Drugs or Bullying!”: everyone is encouraged to dress in their Halloween costumes (no masks).

Special thanks to all were able to make it up our morning they meeting this evening! We made treat bags for our star students! Congratulations to Tanyanna Sanders and Miss Goolsby for winning our free lunch in the cafeteria! The monthly calendar is attached! Have a great week!
