Traveling over break? I always travel with a pack of cards.
Playing the card game War can offer several benefits for kids, both in terms of cognitive development and social skills. Here are some of the key advantages:

🚀 At our literacy bootcamp we made word segmentation an active, fun, and memorable experience! One of our favorite techniques is to combine movement with learning—like hopping into a hula hoop to segment words!

🟢 **How It Works:**
1. **Choose a Word:** Start with a word like “cat” or “jump.”
2. **Grab Your Hula Hoop:** Place it on the floor.
3. **Hop In for Each Sound:** For each sound in the word (“c-a-t”), hop into the hula hoop. Feel the word come to life as you move through each sound!

🔠 This multisensory approach engages your body and brain, making it easier to grasp the concept of breaking down words into individual sounds.
