Loudoun Education Foundation

The Loudoun Education Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to educational excellence in Loudoun County Public Schools. The Loudoun Education Foundation focuses on making connections with individuals, organizations and local businesses interested in supporting educational programs within Loudoun County Public Schools and identying the programs that need funding.

The focus is on identifying and supporting programs that will enhance the educational experience our children receive during their time in our schools and investing in our teachers and administrators as they seek a higher level of educational excellence. Recognition and rewards are a critical component of achieving excellence and as such one of the Foundation’s key roles is to celebrate those individuals when they achieve such success.

Yesterday we held our annual Pro-Am Golf Tournament at Creighton Farms! On World Teacher's Day, golfers played according to COVID guidelines to help raise money that supports teachers within LCPS.

During the tournament, our Executive Director, Dawn Meyer, shared the following words with attendees: "Going from hands-on learning to virtual learning teachers are working as hard as they can and under tremendous pressure to meet the educational needs of their students. By being here today, you and your company are saying that providing funding for Teacher Grants is important, making sure families that are food insecure have food is important, providing funding for STEM education for students that are from low-socio-economics is important, providing funding for programs that address equity in education is important, helping students that are struggling with mental health and wellness is important, and making sure that all students have access to connectivity is, especially during distance learning, important."

Thank you to everyone who made yesterday so successful and safe!

[09/10/20]   Our Making a Difference Teacher Classroom Grant application is open! This year, we will be collecting applications virtually.
