It’s Earth Day! This easy activity can start off the conversation about our Earth. Add drops of blue and green paint to a paper plate, place in large ziplock bag, and have the kids rub the paint around. Mess free!
Later, go on a walk, bring a bag, wear gloves and pick up litter. Talk about ways we can keep our land and waters clean. 🌍 ❤️ We miss you earthlings!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! 🍀 Today focus on the color green! Color or paint a shamrock. Paint their hands green and make a 3 or 4 leaf clover.

Then paint a rainbow. I always make an example first that they can copy. Review the shape of a rainbow. 🌈

If you can, build a leprechaun trap! During nap time, make a mess like a leprechaun came through. Make a stencil of footprints and use washable green paint around the house. If you have gold coins, tell them to find # of the coins hidden around the house. You can make paper coins with yellow construction paper. The little ones love any type of hide or seek even if they don’t fully understand the luck of the Irish!

Rise and shine! Our daily routine looks like this:

7:00-9:00 a.m. Our morning consists of welcoming our friends and free play. They love playing in the kitchen and pretending to take care of their baby dolls

9:00-9:30 a.m. Morning snack. They love vanilla yogurt with granola and fruit

9:30-11:30 a.m. Circle Time! We review the alphabet, numbers, colors, shapes. The kids love Yoga videos and if the weather permits we take a walk to our neighborhood playground. We work on arts and crafts, play doh, tracing, cutting with scissors.

11:30 a.m. Lunch Time!

12:00 We start to wind down and get ready for naps. We read as many books as they will pay attention to. Usually the same 3 books 😉 There’s an Alligator Under My Bed. Don’t Let The Pigeon Stay Up Late. Goodnight Moon.

12:30-3:00 Give or take is our nap time

3:00-3:30 p.m. Afternoon snack

3:30-4:30 Play time until it’s time to go home

I may be crying while writing this out. I’m going to miss our routines.
