Opioid Epidemic is an “equal opportunity” community problem affecting all ages, races, genders, and socio economic levels.
Support the efforts of the U.S. Surgeon General Jerome M. Adams, M.D., M.P.H. to prevent opioid addiction and overdose deaths through the education and training of dental professionals to carry and administer Naloxone to reverse the effects of an opioid overdose.
This training covers understanding opioids, how opioid overdoses happen, risk factors for opioid overdoses, and how to respond to an opioid overdose emergency with the administration of Naloxone (Narcan).
Attendees will receive Narcan at no cost.
A huge thank you to our dental hygienists for keeping their patients looking fabulous! 😁 Happy Dental Hygiene Month!
You guys ROCK!!!
The power of one! A single cleaning from a #dentalhygienist can bring #oralcancer, new #cavities, receding gums, and even signs of other medical problems out of the dark. • People who regularly practice good #oralhygiene at home with proper #brushing and #flossing techniques typically do not experience discomfort during a cleaning. The #hygienist will screen for oral cancer and other potential signs of risk. • If you’ve neglected oral hygiene habits, discomfort or sensitivity during a dental cleaning is more likely. The dentist can use a topical anesthetic before the cleaning to alleviate any discomfort. • Help make cleanings pain-free in the future by maintaining good brushing AND flossing habits between visits! #healthymouth #healthysmile #wellness #healthyhabits #oralhealth #dentalhealth
Greater Loudoun Hygiene Study Club has the BEST hygienists! Have a great month, you all deserve the recognition!
